IBC Press coverage Up to 3 Nov 2005
More than just a list of links to IBC's coverage in the media, the articles below provided an insight into the development of the debate from 2003-2005. IBC discontinued the compilation of these links as the level of violence placed an increasing burden on our resources.
Iraq Body Count in the Press
This feature initiated May 2004. Last update 3 Nov 2005
It has been a heartening feature of the IBC project that press interest in our work has been wide-ranging and sustained. TV and radio broadcasters have included ABC (USA) News, CNN International, the BBC, the Canadian Broadcasting Company, National Public Radio (USA), Pacifica, and many regional and community stations.
Below is a selection of press (mostly print) coverage of the IBC project, sometimes directly discussing our work but more often just citing it. Sometimes reference is made simply to our numbers.
The collection of links below also amounts to a useful overview of media discussion and coverage of civilian casualties in the Iraq war and occupation.
Wherever possible we have tried to provide a link to the original content.
